Thank you for inquiring about leasing our team and equipment with regard to the 2010 ARCA REMAX Series.
A lease with D'Hondt Motorsports (DMS) is an all inclusive lease. You show up with your helmet and driving equipment (approved HANS device etc..) and you go racing.
As a prerequisite we ask that you submit a driver's résumé telling us:
1.) Where you've raced. Track size and frequency.
2.) What your accomplishments to date have been.
3.) How old you are and your physical attributes - height and weight.
4.) What your long term and short term goals are in racing.
Our teams and equipment are first class and capable of winning every time we leave the shop. This is how we operate. This is not a facility that just puts you in the car and says "Lets see what you can do." We are 100% hands on and we do everything for you including coaching you and caring about you which is not necessarily the norm within other lease programs.
We do not have a crash clause, again.... unlike many other lease programs. Crashing is part of racing and if you happen to crash, we fix the car at our cost and we move on to the next event.
Our personnel is made up of NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series team members with combined experience that rivals anyone in this business. We supply Sprint Cup or Nationwide Series pit crews at all NASCAR companion events.
Our costs:
Racing: 1, 2, 3, 4 or up to 5 races
$95,000 per race, for Superspeedway races - Daytona and Talladega.
$80,000 per race, for mile and a half racetracks for programs 5 races or less.
$70,000 per race, for mile and less racetracks for programs 5 races or less.
* Programs that constitute more than 5 races qualify for a price break at $5,000 per race.
Testing:
Testing is priced according to the testing venue (logistics) and track surface (tire usage) plus 15 % to the costs. For example, logistically it cost less for us to test at Rockingham than it would at Kansas. Tire usage-wise, Rockingham Speedway's track surface being very abrasive would require more sets of tires for a 2 day test. So, to be fair we price testing at our costs plus 15% and total it up. A good barometer is about $12,000 to $20,000 dollars per test again depending upon the track surface, the location and the days spent at the facility.
I hope this information is helpful to you and should you have any additional questions, feel free to call my cell or our shop.
