Patrick Long to wheel the # 90 D’Hondt Humphrey Motorsports, System High Corporation Toyota Camry at Road America

D'Hondt Humphrey MotorsportsDenver, N.C. (June 15th 2010) – D’Hondt Humphrey Motorsports, LLC (DHM) announced today that Patrick Long, with sponsorship from System High Corporation, Universal Industrial Sales, Inc and AASCO Motorsports, will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in the D’Hondt Humphrey Motorsports # 90 Toyota Camry at the June 19th, Road America Nationwide Series event.

Long, who currently drives for the “Flying Lizard” Motorsports team, is an official factory Porsche driver and an accomplished road course racer.  He currently leads the 2010 point standings in the GT Class of the American Le Mans Series with wins at Long Beach and Laguna Seca. While no stranger to racing at Road America – with sportscar wins there in 2005 and 2006 - he’s also no stranger to stock cars and NASCAR racing with solid runs vying for the win on the last lap at both Infineon and Watkins Glen last year and wins at the ARCA Series’ inaugural race at the New Jersey Motorsports Park and the Camping World West race at Mille Motorsports Park..

“Road America is an interesting and at times, difficult road course. I am pumped and I am humbled to be making my debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. I am under no illusion how competitive this series is.

I am confident and excited about the opportunity to get in the first class equipment Eddie D’Hondt and Randy Humphrey are putting under me and equally excited about the staff they will surround me with. This venue and these cars are going to put on an awesome race. I don’t think there is a more scenic and challenging track in North America. It is so quick, yet also technical. The folks at System High will primary sponsor our effort and I can’t thank them and our friends at Universal Industrial Sales and AASCO Motorsports for stepping up and supporting this collective effort. I have a feeling we won’t be letting them down,” said driver Patrick Long.

“This is quite an opportunity for our team to show we can race competitively in this series. We have worked hard to stay a part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and it is opportunities like this that keep us going as we strive to become a full time team at this level,” said team co-owner Randy Humphrey.
